Angela R. Vigil was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She has traveled and lived all over the world with the passionate intention to inspire, educate and empower people of all ages and backgrounds. Committed to excellence and adventure, Angela has over 24 years experience working with teens, entrepreneurial ventures, event production and personal development. She has taught, coached, guided, and motivated thousands of people worldwide. She is the founder and former CEO of Living Empowered®, a holistic empowerment and event production organization that thrives internationally.
Her long awaited recently published book, This Is Who I AM™, will be released in early 2010. This book release is the prelude to a three year International Book and Workshop Tour. On this tour Angela will release additional books and travel globally to create an intimate and in person connection with people of like vision. My Journey
Prior to age 27, I dedicated my life to serving people through church ministry and non profit organizations. My childhood dream was to teach people how to live fearlessly so I started teaching at age 11 and I spent over 21 years serving people professionally. My resume is diverse yet my focus has always been working with people. I found passion and service in being a Counselor, Public Relations and Marketing Specialist, Event Producer, Entrepreneur, Visionary, Advocate, Educator, Speaker, Writer, Dance Instructor and Youth Minister. My work or employment has always been about connection, motivation, teaching, service and empowerment. I use the word work loosely because it's never been labor to me. If I was no longer fulfilled and passionate about the assignment at hand, I knew it was time to move forward and serve elsewhere.
How I Compromised My True Self
I'm told that by the age of
three I had a tenacious entrepreneurial spirit,
a servant's heart and the strength of a
spiritual warrior. One thing is for sure, by the
age of three, I knew what I was called to do; to
be of humble service, create consciousness,
teach, become an entrepreneur, and empower
lives. So where did I go wrong? By the age of
27, I derailed and I stopped listening to
myself. I stopped listening to my intuition to
chase and live a lifestyle...the "American
Dream" instead of my dream and my purpose. My
challenges, resistance and illness came when I
was living my life against my soul's grain. I
walked away from my calling to live
the big life in Manhattan. My life in the Big
Apple was about the challenge, competition,
perfection, constantly proving and qualifying
myself, and I formed a hard shell to protect my
big loving and compassionate heart.
I was so wrapped up in my
identity of being a successful business woman in
New York City and I became really good at
pretending to care about things I once perceived
as superficial. I had the image, I made the
money, I gained a big ego followed by loads of
pride, and I lacked fulfillment in my daily
living. I mastered and thrived in all facets of
business and accomplishments to the detriment of
my body, my health, as well as my social and
spiritual life. I lost my true self and calling
in all the compromise. I was spent physically,
mentally, and emotionally. I was lost and this
"know it all" didn't know what she didn't know.
That is why I hired a life coach and the rest is
what led me here today. Releasing My Attachment To
My Identity, My Image, My Ego and My Pride Led Me Back To
The True Me.
With the support of my family,
friends, life coach and mentors, I've been to
the depths and trenches of my soul with the
intention to discover exactly who I am and how I
am called to serve going forward. I delved deep
into every nook and cranny of myself and I
continue to discover more everyday. When I first
surrendered and was willing to embrace each part
of me - shadow aspects included - I FINALLY GOT
IT! The light bulb went off... AH HAH! This
experience and acceptance makes me a living
testament! I've been there too; the indecision,
the confusion, the darkness and the despair. I
lacked effective skills; I was knee deep in
unfulfilling relationships and disappointment.
After three years of intense internal work and
training, I pushed through the muck, I found my
way back to my loving essence, and I discovered
my ultimate calling: Empowering Others to discover,
accept and love their true self. Today I am a
personal development specialist and my
profession is working as a Holistic Empowerment Educator™.
I now combine my life experience, passion, purpose and formal education to promote
worldwide consciousness, holistic education, and empowerment. I
travel Internationally to teach the tools and
skills to live an empowered, fearless life of integrity.
Now I'm called to
connect with you, motivate you, and share what I
learned. I now understand the saying, "we end up
teaching what we needed to learn".

I am no longer a human DOING. I finally gave myself permission to just BE a human BEING. My intention in the introduction above is to authentically connect with you. My Purpose
My Pain And Loss Was Information That Led Me
To My
Awareness and My Life's Purpose
My life experience supported me to find my life's purpose. I am very passionate about self discovery which I believe will eliminate human suffering and contribute to world peace. My work involves creating worldwide consciousness and teaching effective life skills. I pass on tools that increase personal responsibility, self awareness, self mastery, self love, self respect, self care, self acceptance and full self expression. The end result: An authentic, healed, whole and peaceful human being.

Who I AM
If only they knew and understood.....the depth in which I feel, hear, see and care
the pressure I feel
the severity in which the pain cuts
the magnitude of the calling
the tears I shed
the ache in my heart
the swelling in my head
the tenderness of my soul
the compassion I live
the energy involved in alleviating the pain of others
the love I AM
yet nothing compares to.....
the persecution and pain of the one who gave all
the willingness, committment, obedience and service of all deities who paved the way
all those before me that I respect and honor as models of love, faith, purpose and strength
if they only realised.....
the cries and begging, "take this pain and lift me up"
the questioning, "is this what you really want?"
the deciding, "is this my ego or your will"
the rationalising, "this is so big and I am only one"
do they really hear when.....
I cry, "I am only human"
I ask my loved ones, "please understand"
I remind my parents, "I am on loan to you and our creator's will be done"
I share to those I serve, "you are not alone"
I reiterate to vendors or investors, "this is not about the bottom line"
I cry out, "we have people starving in the world yet you continue to waste"
I beg, "please care about what you are doing with this world"
to myself I request, "remember why you are here" and then.....
the pain lifts slowly
the cry is muffled
I'm reminded my work is not done
I am grounded in purpose
I move forward one obedient and purposeful step at a time
I give gratitude for my gifts
I accept my calling
